Marianne DeFazio, aged 49, peacefully passed away and in her home and returned to her heavenly home on Monday, October 15, 2018, after a valiant battle with a long illness. Her devotion to her loved ones and her belief in God supported her during her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

   Marianne was born in Mount Holly, NJ to Joseph DeFazio and Margaret (Remmers) DeFazio. She lived her childhood in Pennsylvania and graduated high school at Bishop Conwell.  Marianne moved to California in her 20’s and lived the remainder of her life there.

   Marianne loved to write and share stories.  She was a shining light of love and laughter and was an inspiration to all who knew her. 

   Marianne was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.  She is survived by her loving husband, Milan Gonzalez, her siblings Jake (John) Barrett, Sara Zikmund, Christine Justice, Dina Beard, and Joseph DeFazio, as well as many nieces and nephews.

  Services for Marianne will be held at Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church, at 

1:00 p.m. on November 9, 2018, 505 E. North Street, Manteca, CA 95336.  A reception will follow at the home of Jenny Langenhorst, 1542 Churcher Street, Manteca, CA.
