Marie Grace, age 95, passed away on October 28, 2010.   She was born on May 17, 1915, the sixth child of John Quincy and Nora Adams.  Marie was born and raised in Texas and was later, married to Arthur Grace in 1935.  

She and Arthur were busy doing various jobs until they bought a motel in West Yellowstone, Montana.  They sold the motel and moved to Manteca, California, where they owned another motel for many years.  They belonged to the Best Western Association and were in service organizations.  

Marie was an avid golfer and won several trophies.  In her later years, she loved to watch golf on television and was a big Texas Longhorn football fan.  She belonged to the Cameron Road Church of Christ for 24 years and many good works with the ladies group there.  She especially loved studying the bible.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Steve McDonald, their children, Steven, Eric, and Robin;six great-grand children, Steven Richard, Jonathan, Cody, Steven III, Madicyn, and Eric, Jr.; nieces, Irma Manuel, Jerry Read, Wanda Ferrill, Patsy McLemore Charles Adams, Sam Adams, Shirley Archer and great-nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was conducted on Nov. 1, 2010  in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home.  The burial followed at Austin Memorial Park in Austin.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marie’s honor to Cameron Road Church of Christ, Salvation Army or Central Texas Children’s Home.
