Marie Holden passed away on September 15, 2011 in Manteca at the age of 85. She was born in Cherokee County, Oklahoma, on December 1, 1925 and was one of eleven children. Marie was a founding member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Manteca. She was also a homemaker who retired from Eckerts Cold Storage and enjoyed camping.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Roy Holden, and her daughter-in-law, Kim Holden. She is survived by her children, Kay Miller and husband Joe, Gary Holden and wife Sally, and Ed Holden; her grandchildren Rebecca Miller Lee and husband Ron, Kevin Miller and wife Trudi, Eddie Ray Holden and wife Rebecca, and Jacqueline Holden Valencia and husband Bryan; and her great-grandchildren, Stephanie Lee, Hailey Miller, Garrett Lee and Lucas Valencia.

Per Marie’s request, there will be no services. Funeral arrangements are being handled through Park View Funeral Home.
