Born Nannie Marie Little in Crane, MO, on November 23, 1929.  Marie came to California about 1939 and grew up in Selma. In1945-46, she met Earl B. Scheffler and they were married in Selma on December 7, 1947. They resided in the home Earl built on Grant Ave. in Manteca.
   Earl preceded Marie in death February 25, 1995.  Marie continued to live in their home in Manteca until she became unable to care for herself and moved to be near her daughters in 2014. Marie went home to be with our Lord November 2, 2016 and will be buried at East Union Cemetery. 
   She is survived by her daughters, Melanie Dimoree and Cheryl Ford, grand children, Jerry Cherry II, Joshua Ford and Michelle Dimoree, nine great grand children and one great-great grandson.
