Long-time resident of Manteca, Martha Peters passed away on December 14, 2014 peacefully of natural causes with three of her children at her side.  She was born on June 23, 1935 in Blountstown, FL.
She was the 6th of nine children born to Dewey and Lillian Barber.
   Martha will be remembered for her love of gardening and music.  She loved nature and enjoyed long drives in the mountains and along the coast during spring and fall, which were her favorite seasons.  Family gatherings, gift giving and watching her family grow were her favorite things in life.  She had great faith in her savior Jesus Christ and only wanted to be remembered for being a “loving, caring good person.” Her last years were spent in convalescent care at St. Jude Care Center in Manteca.
  Martha is survived by four of her siblings and five children.  Victoria Sachse, Jean Austin, Charlie Peters, David Peters, Brad Peters, 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
   In loving kindness we bid her a peaceful farewell.
   Services will be on December 20, 2014 at 10:00a.m. at the L.D.S. Church, 6060 Northland Rd., Manteca, CA
