Ripon, California – Marvin den Dulk, age 87, lifelong resident of Ripon, CA and faithful follower of his Savior Jesus Christ, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021. Born October 15, 1933 to Arie and Aletha (Meyering) den Dulk,
   Marv graduated from Ripon Christian Schools and then served in the US Navy from 1951 to 1953. He married the love of his life Edith Van Till on September 25, 1953. They were married 67 years. Marv went on to attend Modesto Junior College and received his AA degree in 1956 whereupon he became a fixture in the Ripon community, owning den Dulk Insurance agency in Ripon and Manteca until he retired in 1990. Among the many other roles he enjoyed were volunteer fireman in Ripon for many years, serving on the Ripon Christian Schools board of directors (President 1976-77), charter member of Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, serving as Elder and Deacon, and as one of the founders of Spring Creek Golf & Country Club. Marv had a passion for flying in his younger years that converted to a passion for RV travel in his golden years. He particularly enjoyed spending time in Mount Hermon, CA, Jackson Hole, WY, the California and Oregon Coast, Palm Springs and their  cabin in Pine Mountain, CA. Marv’s other great passion was his family.  He loved his grandkids and great-grandkids immensely.
   Along with his parents he is preceded in death by sister Betty Jane Schaapman, brothers Arie (Bud), Ron, and Walt. He is survived by his wife Edith (Van Till) den Dulk, daughters Deb Van Groningen (Mark) of Ripon, CA, and Shari Post (Dick) of Caledonia, MI, sons Mike den Dulk of Kailua-Kona, HI, and Jim (Andrea) of Folsom, CA, sister Audrey Hekman (Bill) of Salem, OR,  and 10 grandchildren, Eric Van Groningen (Kelly), Renee Partridge (Adam), Andrea Meek (Jon), Lindsey Nostrant (Josh), Kendra Strang (Zach), Marissa Brown (Cody), Luke Post, Arie den Dulk, Amy den Dulk, Michelle den Dulk and Reijer den Dulk.   He also leaves behind 14 great-grandchildren.
   Visitation will take place on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Deegan  Ripon Memorial Chapel, located at 111 S Palm Avenue, in Ripon. Interment with military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Ripon Cemetery for immediate and extended family.
   A celebration of life will follow at  11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, located at 517 Orange Avenue, Ripon, CA. Services will be officiated by Pastor Ken Boonstra.
