Mary Achsah Dale, 90, entered into eternal rest on November 19, 2011 in Manteca.  She was born on February 12, 1921 at home in South Dakota.

Mrs. Dale is survived by her loving husband of 69 wonderful years, Warren R. Dale. She also has her caring children Judy Pacheco of Manteca and Ron Dale Sr. of Manteca along with all her grandchildren Ron Dale Jr. of Manteca, Mike Dale of Manteca, Jeannie Pacheco of Stockton, Charlie Pacheco III of Manteca, and Ashley Dale of Reno and was fortunate enough to have her three great-grandchildren in her life. In addition, Mary has one very special sister, Joyce Cady of Mountain View.

Mary will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, and granny.  She was a cheerful lady with a sunny disposition. She always had the best and most positive attitude towards all situations. She was loved and admired by so many for her hard work in absolutely all that she did.  Mary loved to sew, cook, camp, hunt, fish, ride horses, and spend time with her family.  She was the first person in her family to not only attend high school, but graduate as the valedictorian of her class. After graduation Mary went on to “teacher’s college” and taught in a one room county school in South Dakota.  In the summer on 1941,  Mary met the love of her life, Warren, and was married that same year in October. From that day forth, they were an inseparable team.  They weren’t only husband and wife - they were best friends.  Mary and Warren were married for 69 years and together, they raised their family, built a business, worked together, and played together. Mary was the rock and heart of the family, she was highly organized, sensitive, caring, and loving.  She kept everyone together in a quiet, but definite way - which was the Irish in her.  She will be missed by all that knew her lively spirit.
