Mary passed away at the age of 79 years. She was born in Tulsa Oklahoma and was the great granddaughter of Tuckabache, a Creek Tribe warrior. She was very proud of her American Indian heritage.
Prior to her retirement she worked as a bookkeeper for an electronics firm. She was an avid bowler and has been a member of many leagues over the years.
She is survived by her son Ronald McGee (Liz); granddaughter Katrina Mendez (Louie); Grandson Michael McGee; and daughter-in-law Carre Brookshire. She is predeceased by her husband Richard Engel and son Sammie McGee.
In lieu of a service, there will be a gathering of family and friends on February 14, 2009, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Almond Blossom Estates Community Center located at 1901 E. Yosemite, Manteca.
Arrangements are by the Neptune Society of Northern Ca-Stockton Branch.
