Mary Seelye, 89, entered into rest on Dec. 31 in Manteca. She was born on May 12, 1919 in Holly, Colorado to Mr. and Mrs. Adam and Eve Behm. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Preston Seelye and 11 brothers and sisters.

Mary is survived by her beloved family; daughters Marilyn and husband Frank Sullivan of Manteca and Nancy and husband Gary Chambers of St. Charles Missouri; granddaughter Kimberly and husband Andy Cunningham of Manteca; and great-grandchildren Ireland Cunningham, Kennedy Cunningham, and Drew Cunningham all of Manteca. She is also survived by her brother John Behm and Sister Esther Fester both of Colorado.

Mary was a native of Denver. She moved to Manteca 15 years ago to be closer to her family. While living in Denver she worked for Hatch Drug Store as a sales lady for 35 years until retirement. She was also a member of Grace Memorial Church in Denver. After moving to Manteca, Mary enjoyed attending Crossroads Grace Community Church with her daughter and son-in-law. Mary was very creative and had a special talent with, crafts, ceramics, quilting and doll making. She loved her Pekingese “Boo” and found peacefulness just being around him. Mary treasured her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as they treasured her. To them she was the best mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and GG. Mary will be remembered as a fun-loving, sweet lady who was kind and gentle to everyone she met.

Services for Mrs. Seeley are being held under the direction of P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 6. at 4 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Road, Manteca. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Colorado at Fairmount Cemetery at a later date.
