Michael John Luebs, 63, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 28th, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on July 11, 1949 in Joliet, Illinois to the late Ralph and Mary Luebs. 

Michael leaves behind his loving wife of 23 years Carol Luebs of Manteca, his children, Robert Luebs and fiancée Allison Murray, Kristen Hilton and husband Brian, Kimberly Huntley and fiancé Curtis Gates, all of Sacramento.  Michael was blessed with two granddaughters, Caitlyn and Samantha Hilton.  Michael has two surviving siblings, Sandy Burdick and Barbara Carnaghi and husband Joseph of  IL, as well as brother and sister- in-law, Larry and Karen Cooper of NV, Mary and Lee Render of CA, Paul and Rose Daube of CA.  In addition he is loved by many more aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Michael served as an anti- submarine warfare operator in the US Navy from 1968 to 1972 part of VP-47.  He was stationed at Moffett Field in Mt View, CA.  Michael was a supervisor for Mica Microwave in Manteca for seven years.  Previously from San Jose, Michael called Manteca home for the past 18 years.  He was an amazing friend and neighbor.    He enjoyed the simple things in life, and his sense of humor never went unnoticed. Being born in Illinois, Michael was an avid Chicago Bears, Bulls, Cubs and Blackhawks fan.  Michael loved his family dearly and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He fought his battle valiantly and never gave up!  He will be remembered for his sharp wit, his courage and his true heart of gold.  He will be missed.        P.L.
