One thing that everyone who knew him can agree upon, Michael had a smile and a good word for everyone. He was taken to be with his Lord on February 25, 2012.

Born in Phoenix, AZ on September 5, 1953 to a preacher and a homemaker. He lived in many states before settling in Manteca, CA where he attended Manteca High where he played on the varsity football team and and ran track. Taking a job at Spreckles Sugar Beet Company after graduating, he met and married Brenda Hardesty. Shortly after, they moved north with Brenda's three children and bought property north of Springdale in the northeast part of Washington where with the help of his brother Steve, he built a home for his new family. After trying various jobs, Mike found a second home at Vagaan Brothers Lumber where he continued to work for 20 years.

Mike loved the outdoors, becoming an avid skier, golfer, and accomplished motorcyclist. He was very active in the Sons of the American Legion, an organization within the American Legion in Chewelah where in he had the job of adjutant. He cooked many meals for fundraisers, and always volunteered for any extra duty that needed to be done. But best of all, he loved his church, Clayton Community Church where he sang solos, became an elder, and helped out the church, it's congregation and the community wherever he was needed.

Mike is survived by his son Nathan, daughter Marca, and step children Jamie, Richie and Dale, his brothers Steve, Keith, Clint and his sister Lynette Petrie, his father Ross Warren, and mother, Doris Warren and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will remember him always for the love and support he showed.

A memorial service will be held at Sequoia Heights Baptist Church in Manteca at 2:00PM on Saturday, March 17, for those family and friends in the Manteca area who wish to see him off in style.
