   On Sept. 2, 2014, we unexpectedly lost our beloved Michael “Mike” Foley, 75, of Pollock Pines, Ca.  He is survived by his loving wife, Simone Foley of Pollock Pines and his three children: Shawna Foley of Jackson, Ca.; Eva Foley of Escalon, Ca.;  and Chuck Foley of  Kelseyville, Ca..  He is also survived by his three grandchildren; Tiffany and Michael McGuire of Escalon, Ca. and Jacob Jamvold of Jackson, Ca.
   He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Foley; his mother and father, Evelyn and George, and his twin sisters, Constance and Judith.
   Mike was born in Long Beach, Ca., in 1939.  He entered into the US Navy at age 17, and served until 1966. He was a Veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a champion trap shooter and fisherman, as well as an avid hunter and outdoorsmen. In his youth, he raced funny cars and later in life he was a co-owner of Delta Bait and Tackle in Manteca, Ca. He spent over 50 years as an Ironworker, the last 30 with AVAR Construction.  He was an extremely hardworking man with extensive knowledge in his field. He was a mentor to countless newcomers, his wisdom and experience could not be matched.
   A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at on Sept. 13, 2014, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.,   at the El Dorado Hills Pavilion, 1021 Harvard Way, El Dorado Hills, Ca. 95762.
