Mickey Neil Ardrey, 69, a 29 year resident of Manteca, died at his home on Monday, July 13, in Manteca.

Mickey was an active member of Mid-Valley Church of Christ, Stockton since 1989. He was born Feb. 22, 1940 in Webb City, Mo. Mickey grew up in Carterville, Mo. and then moved to Kansas City, Mo. where he worked for the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers as a Cartographic Technician for 18 years before moving to Manteca in 1980. He worked at Tracy Defense Depot and retired from there in 1995 after which, he worked for California OES for several years. Most recently, he worked as a Notary Public. Mickey enjoyed old cars, painting classes, photography, computers and was a Star Trek enthusiast. He was a member of the Tri-Valley Classic Chevrolet Club.

Mickey was preceded in death by his mother and father, Dorothy and Ross Ardrey, his brothers, Gary Ardrey and Dale Ardrey, and his wife, Doris Ardrey.

He is survived by his daughters, Vickie Drummond of Kansas City, Mo., Tammy Turner of San Diego, step-children, Sidney Nicholls of Stockton, Esther Pinnelli of Ripon, Mary Otten of Manteca, Doris Rose of Sacramento, three grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 18, at 2 p.m. at North Side Church of Christ, 660 North Lincoln Avenue, Manteca.
