Mildred Terese Kunis, 82, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 1st, 2011 in Manteca. She was born on May 24th, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois. In heaven she joins her beloved husband John Joseph Kunis as well as her sister Nadine Morse.

Mildred leaves behind her loving sister, Evarista Wheeler, her beautiful family; Debbie Grabowski and husband Don of Manteca, Kathy Semple and husband Clark of San Jose, Nancy Himan of Las Vegas, Mary Fran Kunis of Las Vegas, John Adam Kunis and wife Cheryl of AZ, Kim Havins of Las Vegas, Michael Kunis and wife Diane of San Jose, Thomas Kunis and wife Kim of San Diego, Jim Kunis and wife Veronica of Washington, Christopher Kunis and wife Diane of San Diego, Scott Kunis and wife Christine of Redwood City and Todd Kunis and wife Amy of San Diego. Mildred was blessed with 34 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Mildred was a loving nurturing mother. She was a member at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking and was an avid baker. Holidays at her home were no ordinary holiday, they were an event, as everyone in her family would get together for the feast that she would prepare. She had a true
passion for gardening as she kept her garden immaculate. Mildred enjoyed her getaways to her local casinos and never missed the opportunity to go to Reno or Las Vegas. Who could forget her Friday Night BINGO, where Mildred’s place was always saved, especially for her. Mildred was a devoted wife, a most loving mother and an extraordinary grandmother. She will truly be missed.

Arrangements for Mrs. Kunis are under the direction of P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. A Visitation/Mass (both held at St. Anthony’s) will be held on Wednesday, October 5th, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 East North Street. Visitation 11:00 A.M. ~ 12:00 P.M. followed by Mass at 12:00 P.M.  She will be laid to rest at a later day at Oak Hill Cemetery, 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose, CA, alongside her husband.
