May 4, 1940 to June 1, 2014

Monica Surait, 74, entered into rest on Sunday June 1, 2014 in Manteca, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in the Philippines on May 4, 1940. In heaven she joins her mother and father.

Monica leaves behind her loving children, Virgilio Surait of Manteca, Belinda Suriat of Milpitas, Virginia Ferrer (Marlito) of Manteca, Brenda Santos (Alan) of Manteca, Bernadette Surait of Guam and Bobby Suriat (Charina) of Stockton. Monica was blessed with 22 grandchildren.  In addition she leaves behind her sister Catalina De Guzman, step mother Mercedes Dizon as well as stepsiblings, Delia Abrencia, Janette Ard, Norma Dizon and Julie Tam.

Monica was hard working and a faithful Catholic. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church since she moved to Manteca thirteen years ago. She loved her family dearly and would do anything for her grandchildren. Her personality was quiet and reserved with a beautiful spirit. She will be missed by her children and grandchildren forever.

P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Surait family. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 1 to 6 p.m. with a Rosary immediately following. Mass of Christian burial will be Friday, June 6, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 505 East North Street, Manteca.
