Monte Alan Schenken, 64, entered into rest on October 24, 2011 in Holbrook, AZ. He was born on October 18, 1947 in Chico, CA.
He was a resident of Manteca for over 22 years. Mr. Schenken is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Penelope Schenken. His children are Brian David Edwin Schenken and his wife Cheryl Schenken, Bradley Carter Lee Schenken and his wife Helen Schenken, and Juliana Christine Pickering and her husband Andrew Pickering. He was blessed with four grandchildren Elora Schenken, Corbin Schenken, Avery Pickering and Addison Pickering.
Monte graduated from Chico State University in 1970. For over 41 years, Monte made his profession as an Environment Leader with Owens Corning in Santa Clara, CA.
He enjoyed camping and traveling. He and his wife would travel all over the United States.
Monte was a true family man; he enjoyed being around his family as he loved each and every one of them unconditionally.
Monte was always open minded, open hearted and trustworthy, which in return made him a devoted friend to many. He was a smart, generous man with an outgoing and witty personality. Monte will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed.
