MSGT. Robert L. Hutton (RET) age 86, passed away from complications of pneumonia on September 27, 2016 in Manteca.  He was born on September 21, 1930 in Durant, OK to the late Albertis and Maurine Hutton. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Barbara, sister Aljean and brother Donald.
   He leaves behind two sons Mike and Bill, and grandson Jakob.  He is also survived by his brother Bill (Darlene), sister Carolyn and numerous nephews and nieces.  He is also leaves behind a very close and dear friend Lawanna Robertson, daughter Sherry and granddaughter Samantha. 
    In 1942 MSgt. Hutton’s family moved to Richmond, CA where his parents began working at the shipyards.  MSgt. Hutton enlisted in the United States Army in November of 1947 beginning his military career.  MSgt. Hutton fought in the Korean War during 1952.  He was a Forward Observer in a 4.2 Heavy Mortar Company, 35th Inf. Reg.-25th Div.
   In 1955, while stationed at the Presidio, San Francisco, he met and later married his wife Barbara of 53 years.  MSgt. Hutton’s career took him and his family to France, Germany and numerous locations in the United States.  MSgt. Hutton’s career ended with his retirement in October of 1973 after completing his second tour of the Vietnam War.  MSgt. Hutton then settled in Manteca, CA and enjoyed a very long, well deserved, retirement.
   PL Fry & Son Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of MSgt. Robert Hutton.  A service will be held on Friday, October 7th, at 10:00 a.m. at P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 N.
