Nick G. Meintasis, 83, entered into rest on September 26, 2012 in Manteca following a long illness. Nick was born on November 6, 1928 in Ogden, Utah. He was a resident in Manteca for 57 years.

Nick operated a Mobil and Exxon service station for 5 years. In 1970 Nick and his wife Connie purchased the building on Main and North Streets and operated Manteca True Value Hardware until his retirement in 2001.

Nick is survived by four children, John N. Meintasis, Susan Larson (Steve), Nicole Limon, Xanthe Locke (Tom), and grandchildren, Brandy Morris, Mark Hegarty, Nick J. Meintasis, Kim Gaston, Crystal Tanaka, Breinna Harden, Tim Larson, and ten great-grandchildren.

Nick was preceded in death by his father George Meintasis, brother John G. Meintasis, sisters Catherine Dugan and Sandra Davis. He is survived by his sister Pat G. Noble of Stockton.

Nick was a hard worker and loved to help his children with sprinkler systems and repairs to almost anything in their homes, teaching them as they worked together. We will miss him so much, but we know he is finally free from the disease, Parkinson.
