Norma Koehler

Norma Koehler, 90, entered into rest on October 31, 2012 in Manteca, CA. She was born on September 16, 1922 in Los Angeles, CA. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Fred Koehler and her mother and step-father Alice and Albert Hersche.

Norma is survived by her children Linda Stockton (John) and Bob Koehler (Donna). She was blessed by five grandchildren, Megan and Casey McCoy, Emily Hanson (Seth), Ben Koehler (Ashley) and RuthAnna Swacker (Jay Paul). She had three great-grandchildren who she adored Sam, Caroline and Will Hanson.

Norma was a resident of Manteca since 1981. She enjoyed a great game of bridge and bingo with friends. Traveling yearly all over the United Sates was always an adventure for Norma and Fred. She traveled throughout Europe and visited several times while her daughter Linda resided in Germany. Looking forward to the Fourth of July was always exciting to Norma as every year she traveled to Colorado to celebrate with her son and his family with their exciting Americana activities. Norma held her family extremely close to her heart, she never missed a birthday, anniversary, graduation, or special occasion. She always sent a special heartfelt card and a check waiting to be cashed. Norma had a very special lady in her life for the past few years who was her care giver, Renee Pashon. The family as well as Norma felt that Renee’s presence in her life was a “God Send.” Norma will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be missed.
