Norma Lehr (Brooks), 83, entered into rest on April 27, 2022, in Manteca, CA.  She was born in Ripon, CA on March 3,1939 to the late Homer and Verda Brooks. She joins her parents as well as her husband, Marshal Lehr, brother Clay Brooks and sister Joyce Brooks in Heaven.

Ms. Lehr is survived by her beloved children, Michael (Lori) Lehr, Loren (Michelle) Lehr and Cindy (Ken) Schone. She was blessed by six grandchildren, Brian (Cara) Lehr, Danny (Jessica) Lehr, Christopher Lehr, Irving Hernandez, Steve (Rebecca) Sims and Aimee (Ulises) Ochoa. She adored her eight great-grandchildren, Alannah, Hannah, Michaelah, Madeline and Norah Lehr, Mia, Lillianna and Jacob Sims and Lia Ochoa.

Norma disliked board games and cooking, and loved jewelry, dining out and the color red. She always had a stash of cookies and treats for kids to pillage from her pantry, and while we will always remember these things about her, we will remember most that she was truly present with you, and there was nowhere else she wanted to be.

She was one of the easiest people to love; the type of person you could just drop by to visit without notice and know she would greet you with a smile, turn off her TV, sit you down for a chat and sit with you for as long as you would stay.

Along with Marshall, she was a fixture in Manteca, where she lived or 63 years. She served the local Soroptomist chapter, generously donated to various local causes in the community, was a member of the Red Hat Society and of Calvary Church, where she was a faithful member for many years. Her faith in

God was at the center of all she did and it was demonstrated by her actions.

A celebration of life service will be held on May 12, 2022 at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home at 10 a.m.  She will be laid to rest at Park View Cemetery following. A reception will be held at Calvary Community Church, 815 E. Lathrop Road, Manteca, CA after the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to a charity of choice. An online guestbook is available for condolences at www.plfryandson.com
