Oscar Busek, 91, entered into rest on Feb. 20, 2011 in Manteca, California. He was born on Nov. 8, 1919 in Galvin, Washington to the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred and Ludmila Busek. Oscar joins his wife in heaven Lillian Busek who passed away in 2007.

 Mr. Busek is survived by his nephew and niece Dick and Barbara Busek of Washington. He was also blessed with his 2 great-nieces and one great-nephew, Paul and wife Jen Busek and Mary and husband Rodney Rieley and Megan Kellam.

 Oscar worked for Leprino Cheese for over 25 years. He and his wife attended First Christian Church on Union Road and Louise Avenue in Manteca. He was an avid fisherman and he enjoyed many days on his boat with friends and family. He loved trips to Depot Bay (Oregon), Alaska and the San Francisco Bay where he enjoyed the challenge of deep-sea fishing. Oscar will be remembered as an amazing uncle, devoted husband, and a wonderful friend to many. He will be missed.

Mr. Busek’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. A celebration of life service will be held is today, Feb. 25, 2011 at noon followed by a graveside at East Union Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his beloved wife Lillian.
