Oval H. Adkins “Bud”, 81 entered into rest on July 4, 2014 in Manteca. He was born on November 30, 1932 in West Virginia to Abner and Bertha Adkins. Bud is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
   He leaves behind his wife Anna Malcom-Adkins of Manteca as well as his children, Douglas Adkins, David Adkins, Brian Adkins, Linda Kay Adkins and stepson Andrew Murphy. He was blessed with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition he has one surviving sibling Geri Harper.   
   Bud was a veteran, serving his country through the US Navy. Bud came from West Virginia to Southern California, where he worked in Glass Manufacturing Company before settling in Tracy and ending up in Manteca. He was outgoing and some would even say, he had no filter, always expressed his feelings.  He was original and carried himself with pride and respect. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Bud will be dearly missed.
