Paula Ann Cole 83, has joined her beloved husband Jack Cole and daughter Barbara Ann Cole in Heaven on August 19th, 2023 in Manteca, with her family by her side and is now resting peacefully in the loving hands of our Lord.

Paula Ann Cole was born on August 24th, 1939 in Hilo, Hawaii. Paula was a tremendously loved, adored and respected Mama, Vovo, great-vovo, sister and auntie. She was a woman of strong faith, profound dignity, with an enormous abundance of love and loyal to her absolute core. She was the Matriarch of our family, always there when you needed her to listen, a hug and kiss for you when you needed some extra love and the voice of a lionesses when you needed to hear the harsh truth. She was a force to be reckoned with but also a gentle hand to hold. She never let you leave her house hungry as she loved to cook and she loved when she was able to make you happy with her food.          She has always had a love for flowers and referred to her flowers as hers girls! She enjoyed listening to music and the ukulele, as children it was not uncommon to see her and her husband dancing with each other in any room in the house. She loved watching hula dancers perform and would often tell stories of her life in Hawaii and the Hawaiian traditions and ancient folklore. She was an island girl that moved to the states but the island never left her. As she has left us now we will never let the memories of her leave our hearts.

She is survived by her son Paul Cole and family.  Her son Jack Cole and his wife Pam Cole along with their three children, Christopher, Crystal and Justice. Her granddaughter Coleen Steele her husband Michael Steele and their children; Katelynn and Danniella, granddaughter Valerie Marin and her children; Jaxon and Jacklyn, and granddaughter Jazmin Buchanan and her husband Gabriel Buchanan and their children; Jaylen and Laelani. Her brother Stephen Paulos, his children Christy and Ryan, her sister Kathleen Luiz, her children Jason and Jennifer and son-in-law Derwin Blackmon.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Escalon, CA. Rest in Aloha Vovo!
