Dad has passed on to an everlasting peace. May God deliver him with the surroundings of our mother Jessie, and  his angels, to the gates of Heaven.
Dad was born in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico, in the village of  Valle de Santiago. He worked all his life from the time he was able to. As a young man he tried many times to come to the United States. He knew if he got here, things would be different. He never gave up, no matter how many times he was sent back. He always returned here, because he  had a plan.
He met our mother in Brawley, CA, and now had a beginning of a life. He didn’t expect to change his plan, but our father was always thinking ahead. He married our mother and he had his first child, and not long after, his family grew. Dad always wanted better for the family, and he moved us to Central California, where he continued to work, and in between work he became a US. Citizen. This was one of his happiest moments, and he was very proud of this accomplishment.
Many grape growers throughout California  learned from our father, how to grow their vineyards.
He is survived by his sons, Pedro A. Mendoza, of Lodi, CA; Albert Mendoza, of French Camp, CA; Joe Mendoza, of Southern CA; Martin Mendoza and Mario Mendoza, of S. Lake Tahoe; CA, daughters, Monica Mendoza, of Lathrop, CA; and Margret Brandon, of Minden, NV. As well as 12 grand kids.
