Peggy Victoria Manding, 88, of Manteca, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at her residence. She was born on May 30, 1921, in Monrovia, CA. Her faith in God was a very important part of her life and was a member of the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Peggy loved her family dearly and loved to cook and care for them. She enjoyed traveling, gambling, and gardening. She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.  

She is survived by her son-Fred and Angela Manding; daughter Junie Manding, both of Manteca; son Mike and Gale Manding of Tucson, AZ; brother Alex and Ilene Martinez of Stockton; grandchildren, Michelle (Corey), Richie (Michelle), Jason, Stacey (Jamie), Nicole, Christina, Shanna (Jeffery), and Shelby; great-grandchildren, Paige, Kaylee, Macie, Justin, Sami, Abbigail, Gabriel, Jenna, and Jeffrey; as well as numerous close extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Justo “Jess” Manding.  

Services performed under the direction of Park View Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca, where a viewing will be held on Friday, January 22, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and a Rosary starting at 6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Saturday, January 23, at 2 p.m., 525 E. North St., Manteca, CA. Burial will be at Park View Cemetery immediately following the services.
