Phyllis, 78, of Manteca passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family.
She retired from the CA Correctional System after more than 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends playing Bingo and watching HER baseball team, San Francisco Giants. She was a member of For Goodness Sake, which helped veterans attending school, and raised money for their Books To Boots Scholarship.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Wanda Sevedge, sister, Geraldine Vickerman, and brother, Jimmy (Doc) Sevedge.
She is survived by her children, Linda Kelso (Kevin) of Stockton, and Gary Gillett of Manteca, her grandchildren, Elizabeth & Brenton Kelso, and great-grandson Jude Kelso, siblings; Bernice Hinzpeter of Tumwater, WA, David Sevedge (Charlotte) of Olympia, WA, Tommy Sevedge (Jeneen) of Snelling, CA, Larry Sevedge of Copperpolis, CA, and numerous nieces & nephews.
Memorial service will be held at the Park View Cemetery in French Camp, CA, on Thursday, October 23, at 2 p.m., reception following at Almond Terrace Community Room, 1976 N Union Rd, Manteca.
