Porfirio J. Castillo entered into eternal rest among the angels Sunday, February 2, 2014 while surrounded by loved ones. Porfirio, better known as Bill was born on September 15 1925. In heaven he joins his parents, Porfirio Castillo and Lupe Castillo, siblings Antoinette Berry, Grace Castillo, Margaret Castillo, Julian Castillo and his precious daughter Constance Stavros and son in law Frank Mozzetti.
   Mr. Castillo is survived by his loving wife Jenny, children, Frank Castillo (Margaret), Vincent Castillo (Alice), Nancy Mozzetti, William Castillo (Debbie), Gracie Denny (John), John Castillo (Angela), and Robert Castillo, his brother Frank Chacon and brother-in-law Clarence Lind. He was blessed with 22 grandchildren, 27 great- grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.  As well as, many nieces and nephews.
    In Bill’s 88 years of life he always strived to live it to the fullest. He was a decorated war hero from WWII where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart, Silver Star, and the Legion of Honor from France. Shortly after returning from the war Bill was blessed to see the love of his life Jenny at a local dance where they would dance the first of many dances together for the next 66 years.
    Bill always expressed his love and devotion for his church where he was an active member of St. Anthony’s. He enjoyed many years working with other members in the community as a successful businessman in Real Estate. He cherished every moment with his family; together they loved watching football and baseball, taking road trips across country, camping trips; especially to Hope Valley and Lake Tahoe as well as day trips to San Francisco. He will be remembered as the man who loved the Lord, his country and most of all his family. He will be cherish and dearly missed for his giving heart, his words of wisdom, and his unconditional love.
   P.L .Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Castillo family. Visitation will be on Monday, February 10, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca. Mass will be on Tuesday, February 11, 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 525 E. North St., Manteca. Burial will be St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
