Ralph Livoni died on February 3, 2012, from complications after a fall.  Ralph was born in Fresno on September 25, 1922.

His family moved to Stockton when he was a young boy, and he attended Woodrow Wilson
Elementary School and Stockton High School, graduating in 1940.  He also attended Stockton Junior College before
enlisting in the Army in 1942.  Ralph was a member of the 14th Armored Division and received a Purple Heart after being wounded in combat in France.  After the war, he attended College of the Pacific, then began his career with PG&E.

He was married to Colleen, his loving wife of 61 years, in 1949.  They moved to Manteca and raised three children Mary Ann Newman (husband Steve) of Mexico, Linden Livoni of Los Gatos and Dr. John Livoni (wife Dr. Rocky) of Sacramento.  He had eight grandchildren  Kristin, Valerie, Sam, Jack, Brian, Elizabeth, Renee and Katie.

Besides his family, Ralphs two loves were photography and the Boy Scouts.  He was named the City of Manteca's Artist of the Year in 2003, and served Scouting in various capacities for over 50 years. He received the Silver Beaver Award, one of scouting's highest awards for service to young people. Ralph and Colleen traveled the world, bringing back many great photos.

He was preceded in death by his wife and by his granddaughter Elizabeth.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, February 12 at 1:30 PM at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 and Harney Lane in Lodi.  In lieu of flowers, Ralph's favorite charities were the Boy Scouts of America and the Disabled American Veterans.  Funeral arrangements by Cherokee Memorial Park and Funeral Home (209)334-9613.
