Ralph E. Donges, 93, entered into rest on January 7, 2020, in Lodi, CA. He was born on May 23, 1926 in Pennsylvania. He is preceded in death by his son, Gary Donges and his three siblings, Chuck, Betty and Bill.
Mr. Donges is survived by his wife of 69 years Mary and their three children, Rick Donges (Kathy), Paul Donges (JoAnn) and Paula Ramos. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Sean, Jessica (Thomas), Joshua and Gordon (Laura) and four great-grandchildren, Shanett, Lexi, Stella and Jonah and five great-great-
grandchildren, Colbie, Ady, Jarod, Avery and Harper.
Ralph was an Army Air Force Veteran, proudly serving during WWII. He retired after 30 years as an Aircraft Mechanic working for Chevron. He was a member of St. Bedes in Hayward and St. Anthony’s in Manteca. He volunteered at Schafer Park School, Hayward and St. Vicente De Paul Hayward. Ralph was a jack-of-all-trades, where he would tinker with just about anything he could get his hands on. He enjoyed reminiscing about the good ol’ days. He loved gardening, fishing, hunting and trips to the casinos. Ralph had an incredible personality. He was funny, loving, giving and kind. Above all, Ralph loved his family unconditionally. His days were full when spending quality time with the wife and all the grandchildren. Ralph will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
