Ralph "Blondie" "NA6D" Walker Matthews Jr., of Roseville, California went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the age of 74. A loving father, doting grandfather, avid ham radio operator, karaoke king, respected businessman, teller of terrible jokes, and gifted musician, he leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and music to treasure.
   Born on February 5, 1947, in North Little Rock, AR, to Ralph Walker Matthews Sr. and Laura Pauline Owen Matthews, he was baptized into faith with his sister at First Baptist Church in Manteca in the 1950s. In 1964, he graduated from Manteca Union High School and traveled to Hollywood to record "Johnny Hold My Hand" with Larry B and the Teardrops. He went on to attend music conservatory UOP and graduate from Pacific Christian College.
   He is survived by his children, Lisa Boyce and her husband, Jimmy, Stacey Matthews-Winn and her husband, Adam, Brian Walker Matthews and his wife Lisa, his grandchildren, Lauren and Benjamin Boyce, and Roxie Winn, his sister Paula Cash and her husband Bill and his niece and nephews, Gina Gaines Cecil, Greg Gaines, and Matthew Cash.
   His burial will be held at Park View Cemetery in Manteca, CA, on Sunday, May 30, 2021, at 10 a.m., with a reception immediately to follow at Chez Shari. All are welcome. Full obituary available at https://www.blueoakscbs.com/obits.
