Ramon R. Yerena, 58, entered into rest on September 3, 2009, in Modesto. He was born on April 7, 1951 in Guadalajara, Mexico. He joins his father Alberto Yerena in heaven as well as his granddaughter Raquel Yerena.

Mr. Yerena is survived by his loving mother Ramona Yerena San Diego. His companion and best friend of many years is Ana Yerena of Lathrop. His beloved children are Rosie Pena and her husband Robert of Lathrop, Alberto Yerena and his wife Lisa of Stockton, Diana Romero and her husband Hime of Manteca, Monica Yerena and her husband Manuel of Lathrop, Elizabeth Ramona Yerena of Visalia. He was blessed by 13 grandchildren; Ariana, Christian, Isaiah, Monique, Madden, Benino, Lucas, Sergio, Trinity, Isabella, Demi, Ciarra, and Emmanuel. In addition, Ramon has 4 surviving siblings; Concepcion Colio of Reseda, Victor Yerena of San Diego, Manuel Yerena of Los Angeles, and Juan Yerena of Reseda.

Ramon was a resident of Lathrop for 30 years. He worked at The Diner in Tracy California for over 20 years. After his time at The Diner, Ramon owned and operated his restaurant “Haga Su Taco” which was located off 11th street in Tracy, California. Ramon enjoyed his family; good times with food and laughter were always a great joy to him. His grandchildren were his world. He treasured every moment with each and every one of them. He will be remembered as a strong-willed man with a loving heart.

Mr. Yerena’s funeral services are be directed by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 10 from 1 to 5 p.m. at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Road, Manteca. Following his visitation a Memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. at his home church Grace Community 850 J Street Lathrop.
