Raul C. “Rudy” Uvalles Sr., 68, entered into rest on February 9, 2012 in Manteca. He was born April 25, 1943 in Uvalde, Texas to Apolonio Uvalles of Manteca and the late Guadalupe Uvalles.
Rudy leaves behind his beloved wife of 13 years Sonia Uvalles of Manteca. His children are Rachel Guillen of San Jose, Raul Uvalles Jr. of Stockton and Andrew Uvalles and wife Bobbie of Manteca. Rudy is the step father to, Luis Padilla and wife Karen Padilla of Washington DC, Olga Padilla and husband Martin Pantoja of Escalon and Miguel Padilla and wife Shawn of Ripon. Rudy was blessed with six grandchildren, four step grandchildren and one new grandbaby on the way. In addition Rudy has three surviving siblings.
Rudy was an electrician working for L.O.F in Lathrop for 31 years. Willing to discover new fields, Rudy’s entrepreneur mentality made him excel at anything he tried. Whether it was from realestate to taking on a home project Rudy was the best at it. He enjoyed fishing accompanied by the people he loved most, his family. Rudy was always the life of the party, always up to get the dancing started. He lived to the fullest and made the best of every moment. He was the “rock” of his family, making sure that all his family’s needs were met. The zest that he had was like no other he truly cherished every moment and felt limitless. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, beloved and honored father, special grandfather and a true friend to many. He will be greatly missed.
Arrangements for Mr. Uvalles are under the direction of P.L. Fry and Son Funeral Home, 290 North Union Road, Manteca. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from
1pm to 5pm with a Vigil/Prayer Service immediately following at 5:00pm in the P.L. Fry and Son Chapel. He will be laid to rest on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 10:30 am at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery, 719 Harding Way, Stockton, CA 95204.
