Ray Vander Weide died peacefully in his sleep on June 10, 2010 at Bethany Home in Ripon at the age of 86.  He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, daughter Sandra Porter and sons Ronald, Kurt, Tom and Brent, 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  

Even though Ray went through the dark valley of death the past 3 months, he feared no evil, for His gentle shepherd Jesus was close beside him, guarding and guiding him all the way.  He was secure in God’s unfailing love all the days of his life and now will live in the house of the Lord forever.  Psalm 23:4,6
