    Ricard “Ricky” Betz, 91, entered into rest surrounded by her family on November 30, 2013 in Lathrop. She was born February 7, 1922 in Fallon, NV. She leaves behind her loving children; Sharon Brown of Manteca, Robert Betz Jr. and wife Sally of Fremont, Dianne Groll and husband Joseph of Fremont, Brad Betz and wife Sue of Manteca, Darlene Hill-Betz of Stockton, and Jeff Betz of Lathrop. Ricky was blessed with 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
   Ricky made her home in Fremont before moving to Lathrop. She was a WWII Veteran serving her country proudly through the Air Corp. She later worked in electronics in Silicon Valley for two decades prior to retiring. She was a faithful member of St. Anthony’s Church. Ricky found joy volunteering for her community by teaching CCD at local churches as well as serving as a member of the STARS with the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department. She loved her family dearly and looked forward to spending time with them. In her free time she enjoyed all forms of arts and crafts, especially painting. She also loved God and guided her children to do the same. Ricky found a prayer for every critical moment in her life while holding her Saints close to her heart. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed dearly.
   P.L. Fry is honored to serve the Betz family. Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 1:00pm to 7:00pm with a Vigil immediately following. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 10:30 am at St. Anthony’s, 505 East North Street, Manteca, California. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband Robert Grant Betz at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, 17871 S. Carrolton, Escalon, California 95320.
