Richard “Dick” LeRoy Prada, entered into rest on June 10, 2010, 17 days before his 90th birthday. He was born on June 27, 2010 in San Francisco, California. Dick joins his beloved wife of 61 years in heaven, Velma E. Prada.

 Mr. Prada is survived by his two loving daughters, Sandra Sullivan and husband John of Pleasant Hill, and Sherre Bernardo and husband Jon of El Dorado Hills. He was blessed by 3 grandchildren Lynette Day of El Dorado Hills, Todd Taylor of Sausalito, and Tamara Clay of El Dorado Hills. In addition he leaves behind 4 beautiful great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

 Dick joined the United States Navy at the young age of 24 serving his country proudly from 1944-1946. After the military Dick eventually became a real estate developer retiring after 50 years. His heart was always wrapped around his belief in service to his community and youth, love for his family and a sense of optimism that knew no boundaries. He will be missed by those who served with him, those who knew him as a friend and most of all his family who loved him and were so fortunate to have him in their lives.

 Mr. Prada’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, June 19, at 10 a.m. at The Place of Refuge Church (First Assembly of God) 486 Button Ave. Manteca, California. He will be laid to rest at a private gathering on the date of Dick and Vel’s 70th anniversary at Oakmont Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, California - Together forever.
