Richard Joseph Rose, 59, of Manteca passed away Thursday, May 22, at his residence in Manteca with his loving family at his side.
   Richard was born and raised in Newman and was a resident of Manteca for 38 years. He graduated from Orestimba High School in Newman, Class of 1972, and was employed for 40 years with Leprino Foods in Tracy as a Lab Foreman. He was a parishioner of Saint Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church in Manteca and a member of the Teamsters Union Local 439. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and trips to Las Vegas and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, a wonderful father and a gracious grandfather.
   Richard is survived by his wife, Lupe Rose of Manteca; sons, Ryan (Vanessa) Rose of Sacramento, Kevin (Robin) Rose of Salida; mother, Alice D. Rose of Newman; brothers, Marvin Rose of Gustine, Melvin Rose of Newman, David Rose of Turlock, Steve Rose of Modesto, Mannie Rose of Newman and Gary Rose of Ceres; sisters, Barbara Tosta of Newman, Joyce Murry of Folsom and Shirley Buzbee of Modesto; and five grandchildren, Gabrielle, Travis, Madeline, Emilie and Allison Rose. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Joseph Rose, Jr., and sister, Diane Rose.
   A Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by a Rosary at
7 p.m., Thursday, May 29, at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church, 1121 Main St., in Newman. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 30, at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church, in Newman. Interment to follow at Hills Ferry Cemetery in Newman.
