Richard L. Prouty, age 62, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, in Modesto, after a short illness. He was a 1969 graduate of East Union High School in Manteca and Fresno State College. He is survived by one sister, Evelyn Prouty of Manteca, and a niece and nephew. Services have already been held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Manteca Historical Society.
