Jordan & Richard’s services will be held on Saturday, September 24: visitation will be from 9-11 am with their service beginning at 11 am at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel, 111 S. Palm Avenue in Ripon; burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Manteca. Donations may be made to the Kovacs Family Memorial Fund at any Bank of the West. Richard Kovacs, age 56, passed away unexpectedly in Clements, along with his granddaughter and best friend, Jordan Lynn Kovacs, both from Copperopolis. Richard had recently retired from Los Altos Garbage Co/Recology after 34 years of service. Richard leaves behind his ex wife, Terri Kakarigi of Manteca; his beloved sons, Todd Kovacs of Copperopolis, Timothy Kovacs, Kevin Kovacs and Kristopher Kovacs, all of Manteca; daughter-in-laws Adena Kovacs of Copperopolis, Michelle Kovacs, and Jennie Kovacs, all from Manteca; grandchildren Jordan, Brett, Kodi, Austin, Brody, and Madisyn Kovacs; sister Sherry Cardiff and brother in law Brian Cardiff of Brentwood; niece Nicole Cardiff and nephew Jarrett Cardiff; brother in law John Renati and sister in law Claudia Renati; niece Michelle Renati from Pilot Hill, and Jeffrey Renati from Seattle WA; and numerous other cousins, family members and friends. Rick loved his family, fishing, camping, and working on his property. He loved most of all the time he spent with his granddaughter Jordan doing what she loved to do. He will be so missed.
