Surrounded by his loving family, Richard Martinez, 84, entered into rest on December 10, 2020 in Manteca, CA. He was born on January 19, 1936 in French Camp, CA.
   He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Martinez, his two daughters, Linda and Regina and two sons, Charles and Victor.
   Mr. Martinez is survived by his children, Juanita Hernandez (Jose), Richard Martinez (Mary), John Martinez (Penni), Steven Martinez and Joseph Griffith. He was blessed by 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In addition, Richard is survived by his two sisters, Madeline Diaz and Dolores Perez.
Richard proudly served his country through the United States Navy and retired after 30 years of service. After retirement he then went to work for Indy Electronics finally retiring after 15 years as a mechanic supervisor. Richard was a humble man who loved his Lord and Savior. He was a devoted Christian who led the Men’s Prayer group on Saturday mornings through Calvary Community Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping and was an avid 49ers and Giants fan.  Family was most important to Richard; he loved visiting with his sisters, nieces, nephews and extended family members; everyone felt unconditionally and equally loved by him. Richard’s values never went unnoticed he truly lived his life for God, family and country.   He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
   P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Martinez family.  Due to COVID19 all services will be private. He will be laid to rest with his wife at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
