Richard R. Richichi, 78, entered into rest on December 4, 2011 in Jackson CA. He was born on September 18, 1933 in French Camp, CA. He joins his son Richard Richichi Jr. in heaven as well as his siblings John Williams, Louise Reed and Donald Richichi.

Mr. Richichi is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janet Richichi. He has four children; Gary Richichi and wife Victoria of Oregon, Ken Richichi and wife Cindy of Manteca, Trish Blasdell and husband Steve of Oregon and Vickie Richichi Beach and husband Kelvin of Lodi. He was blessed with 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He has three nieces who he was very close to, Rhonda Reed, Rachael Yrigoyen and Renee Jacobs as well as many other nieces and nephews who adored him.

Richard was raised in Lathrop attending Manteca High School. Just 16 years ago Richard and his wife moved to West Point to enjoy retirement. While raising his family Richard worked for various companies driving trucks, finally retiring from Peterson Manufacturing. He was one of the first volunteer firefighters for the Lathrop/Manteca Fire Department. He was a charter member of the Lions Club for Lathrop French Camp. He enjoyed camping, fishing and skiing at Hogan Dam. He loved cooking for the family as he was best known for growing and making his own pesto recipe. While enjoying retirement Richard and his wife enjoyed making new friends, tending to their garden and canning. They were honorary members of The VFW Post 3322 West Point and they looked forward to their
dinners with good friends every week. Richard will be remembered as a family man who was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed.

P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Richichi family. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 9, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. held at P.L. Fry, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca. His service will be held on Saturday December 10, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. also held at P.L. Fry. He will be laid to rest at a later date.
