Richard “Rick” Rocha, 39, entered into rest on July 13, 2009 in Lathrop California. He was born on May 10, 1970 in Hayward California. He is preceded in death by his father Ricardo Rocha.

Mr. Rocha is survived by his mother; Patricia Rocha of Lathrop. His sisters are Jessica Vasquez of Ripon and Tanya Rocha of Pittsburg. He was blessed by 4 nieces and nephews who he adored; Chantyl Vasquez, Justice Vasquez, Dejiah Vasquez and Janea Reyes. In addition Rick had many other extended family members who loved him dearly.

Rick was a Lathrop resident for over 20 years. Before moving to Lathrop Rick was a resident of the East Bay, graduating from Logan High School in Union City. After high school Rick went on to ITT Technical Institute, graduating with honors receiving his Associates of Science degree in computer drafting and design. He recently was a former employee of Aqua Pools in Manteca as a designer. He was previously with Safeway in Fremont for over 16 years. Rick was an accomplished writer. He enjoyed writing fictional and non-fictional novels. He currently was finishing up his third published book. Rick was an avid football fan, he loved the Oakland Raiders. In addition Rick’s enthusiasm for football shined through his coaching abilities with the Lathrop Titans. He enjoyed every minute of coaching on the field as if he was still on the gridiron with his rival team-mates. Rick will be remembered as a passionate man who loved his family unconditionally.

Mr. Rocha’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. Visitation will be on Tuesday July 21, 2009 at 9a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. held at P.L. fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Road Manteca. He will be laid to rest with his father at Ripon Cemetery.
