Born on September 25, 1952 in South Dakota, Richard “Rick” Vernon Uecker Sr, 65, entered into rest on June 21, 2018 in Manteca, CA. In heaven, he joins his father Vernon Uecker and his granddaughter Cheyenne Uecker.
  Mr. Uecker is survived by his mother, Marjean Uecker, his wife of 47 years, Diana Uecker, sons, Richard Uecker Jr. (Sara) and Robert Uecker. He was blessed by thirteen surviving grandchildren Corey, Ashley, Alyssa, Alicia, Alana, RJ, James “JR”, Caleb, Dakota, Leroy, Kayla and Bobbi Leanne as well as, six great-grandchildren, Maci, Zoey, Coen, Noah, Ally and Bentley. In addition, Rick is survived by his siblings, Wayne Uecker, Dean Uecker (Mary), Gary Uecker (Patty), Tim Uecker (Rena), Tammy Tolbert and Skip Topie (Robin). As well as many nieces and nephews.
  Rick grew up in Manteca where he graduated from Manteca High School in 1970. He was a well-known and respected contractor,  owning and operating Richard V. Uecker Construction. He was a member of the United Lutheran Church in Manteca and the VFW in Ripon. He enjoyed the outdoors, which always involved fishing and hunting. Rick’s unconditional love for his children and grandchildren never went unnoticed, they were his world.  He will be remembered for his huge personality, his contagious laugh, his exceptional smile and his enormous heart; always loving and living life to the fullest.
P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Uecker family. A memorial will be on Tuesday July 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. located at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, CA.
