Robert (Bob) Henry Mathews, Jr., born January 25, 1949 in Oakland, CA. Passed away March 28, 2013, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with cancer. He has been a resident of Manteca, CA since 1998. Bob is preceded in death by his parents Elizabeth (Peralta) Mathews and Robert Mathews. 

Bob was a loving husband to Roberta, beloved father to Diane Hanson and Jamie Briones; cherished brother to Donna Salazar. Father-in-law to Matt Hanson and Ariel Briones. Brother-in-law to Linda Blackburn and Debbie Joseph. Grandpa to Zachary, Chase, and Lizzie Crews, Addie Hanson and Jacob Briones. Uncle Bob to Cherilyn and Craig Wojcik, Lisa and Jacen Twilligear, Sarah, Kim, Bud and Brian Blackburn. Great uncle to Alexzander Landers, Cristopher Wojcik, Kilipo and Heaven Leuea, and Kayla Twilligear. He also leaves behind many close friends. 

Bob loved riding his Harley, playing with his dog Nikita,  fishing, and decorating for Halloween and Christmas. His greatest pleasure was family and friends, getting together for holidays and BBQs, and was famous for his 4th of July parties. His love of chatting with anyone and his sometimes quirky sense of humor, along with all of the “Bobisms” he left us, will be remembered by all.
