Robert “Bob” Huckaby, 40, entered into rest on July 24, 2010 in Manteca, California.  He was born on March 8, 1970 in San Diego, California. He had been a Manteca resident for the past 10 years and previously of Fremont for 20 years.

 Bob is survived by his mother and father, Allen and Marilyn Huckaby of Manteca. His siblings are Eric Huckaby, Rosie Huckaby, Brandi Macias, Cindy Macias, Angela Dunn, and Jason Flowers. He was blessed with 5 nieces and nephews; Eric Custer, Kylie Sanchez, Kaitlyn Macias, Sophie Dunn and Audrey Dunn.

 Bob grew up in Fremont attending Irvington High School where he was involved in football. He graduated in 1988. Shortly after high school Bob joined the Army proudly serving his county for 3 years. For the past 6 months Bob worked for Signal 88 Security and previously worked for Eco-Labs of Pleasanton as an outside salesman for several years. He was a member of Golden Gate Primitive Baptist Church of Fremont. He loved playing his guitar, fishing, biking, photography, computers, and tinkering anything electronic. He had a gift for painting; his artistic talents were always noticed by family and friends. Bob will be remembered for his funny spirit and his reserved kind nature. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Huckaby’s services are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Saturday July 31, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home 290 N. Union Rd. Manteca. A memorial open house reception will be held at the Huckaby’s home immediately following the visitation at 127 Winters Dr., Manteca.
