Robert “Bob” Prosser went to be with his Lord on Sunday, March 10, 2013 in Manteca, Ca. He was born in Tracy on December 6, 1943. He is preceded in death by his granddaughter Heather Prosser.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra and was weeks short of celebrating his 49th wedding anniversary. He has two children; daughter, Kimberly Rufo, son in law Jeff; son, Stacey Prosser and daughter in law, Michelle. He has one surviving sister, Carole Bothwell. He was very proud of his grandchildren; granddaughter; Shalayne and husband, 1st Lt. Nathan Mast, United States Marine, grandson Specialist Dominick Rufo, United States Army, his youngest grandson Reed who was his “buddy” and granddaughter Taylor Prosser. He was extremely honored to have his grandchildren serving our country; he passionately flew their military flags with pride. Additionally, Bob has three great-grandchildren who he adored; Anellia Rose, Dirk Joseph and Ethan Starr.  He dearly loved his family and will be gravely missed.

Bob served his country proudly through the United States Air Force and served as a Tracy Police Officer for 32 years until he retired in 2002. Bob didn’t know how to do the retirement thing so he was just as busy during retirement, painting homes for others, detailing cars with his son, and was active in the Veteran Memorial Day with the city of Manteca and Place of Refuge. He worked at Place of Refuge for many years to fund his travel account but had recently retired from there. He was active in ministry, teaching and mentoring.  He attended and greatly loved Calvary Chapel in Modesto. He loved to eat out, a lot. He enjoyed his monthly lunches with his police retirement buddies.  He took a lot of pride in keeping his yards groomed to the T, being the envy of the neighborhood was always a plus for him.  He was a servant at heart and impacted many, many lives. He was integral, dependable, trustworthy, loving and generous.
