Robert Ernest “Bob” Madsen, age 69, died at his home on March 8, 2022. The cause was an apparent heart attack suffered while working in his garage.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carol Madsen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeanne and Ernie Madsen, and parents-in-law, Evelyn and Art Weststeyn.
A lifelong resident of  Ripon, Bob was employed at Mar-Val Food Stores until he purchased the Sunrise Dairy and Sunrise Distributors where he worked alongside his wife for thirty-seven years, delivering milk and making friends until health issues forced his retirement. As time and health permitted, Bob enjoyed fishing at Pinecrest Lake, hunting, horseback riding, working with his father’s tools, and studying the Bible. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his children, Lynnelle and Christopher (Christina), as well as four grandchildren in whom he greatly delighted, Henry, Evelynne, Theodore, and Mae Carol.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bob’s name to the Bethany Home, (930 West Main Street, Ripon, CA 95366, as he was honored to be their milkman for many years. Or, honor his memory by enjoying breakfast at Country Skillets in Ripon with a friend, preferably one you made there that morning.

Funeral Chapel in Ripon. The funeral service will be held Friday, March 18, at
