Robert Gene Provinse, age 84, entered into rest on September 4, 2012 in Manteca. He was born on March 22, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late William and Florence Provinse. He was also preceded in death by his son, Tim Provinse. He was a resident of Manteca since the late 1980’s.

Robert leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Pauline Provinse; sons Dan Provinse (Cathie) of Clayton and Bob Provinse (Janis) of Walnut Creek. He was blessed with three grandchildren, Gregory, Drew and Jordan.

Robert worked in sales in auto parts at the Berkeley Automotive Center. He was a man of faith, a devoted father and husband, taking care of his family and making many sacrifices for them. Robert and Pauline were members of New Hope Church in Tracy. He enjoyed a good meal. Robert loved baseball, always rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

The Provinse Family will be hosting a celebration of life luncheon, Sunday, September 30th, 1 p.m. at Chez Shari Banquet Hall, 305 N Union Rd., Manteca, CA, (on the grounds of the Manteca golf course).
