Robert Lane Scott, 86, of Modesto, California  passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Hylond Conv. Hospital in Modesto, California.

He was born on October 20, 1923 in Cambridge, OH.

He lived in Manteca for 20 years, where he and his wife raised their 4 children. He retired to Oregon, and then in 2000 they returned to Modesto to be closer to family. Robert was a correctional officer and Department of Corrections counselor for 20 years. He served in the US Army during WWII where he received the Silver Star and Purple Heart along with many other decorations.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlan and Mary Scott, his wife Betty and 2 sons, Robert and Bruce Scott.

Surviving are daughter, Suzanne M. Perez of San Diego, CA. and son Gary Scott of Modesto, CA.

Visitation for Robert Lane Scott was held at Park View Cemetery on Wednesday, May 12, at 3:30 p.m. Services will be held today, May 13, at 2 p.m. in the Park View Memorial Chapel.  Interment will be in Park View Cemetery.
