Roland Morgan, age 85, entered into rest on May 4, 2014, in Stockton. He was born on April 24, 1929, in Casa, Arkansas to the late Arthur and Augustine Morgan. Roland is also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Beth Morrison. He was a resident of Manteca for 20 years and previous to that a resident of North Dakota.
Roland leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Melba Morgan, of Manteca; his children, Janis Morgan, Skip Morgan and James Morgan, all of Roseville; two stepdaughters, Debi Hall and Lisa Lund. He was blessed with two grandchildren, Brandon Morgan and Michael Morgan; and his nephew Ronnie Morrison of Alaska.
Roland worked as an Iron Worker Local 118 in Sacramento for 65 years. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He was an avid San Francisco Giants and Oakland Raiders fan. He was very active in the American Legion. He loved his church. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family.
PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca is honored to be serving the Morgan family. A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a Chapel Service at 12 p.m., at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home.
