Ronald Anthony Strawser, 64, entered into rest suddenly on September 15, 2015 in Manteca. He was born on May 18, 1951 in Oakland, CA to Donald and Gloria Strawser.
Ron leaves behind his children, Ronald James Strawser and wife Ruby of Manteca and Steve Strawser of San Bruno. He was blessed with numerous grandchildren that he loved dearly.
Ronald was a United States Veteran serving his country proudly through Navy. He was a Manteca resident, but his heart always belonged to the bay. He attended Fremont High School in Oakland and would move on to fulfilling his dream of art by attending San Francisco’s Art Institute.
Ron would become a Caricatures and would have his art displayed anywhere from places like the Oakland A’s Stadium to your local coffee shops as well as working at Lawrence Livermore Lab, doing just that ART. He knew just how to bring someone’s best features forward, highlighting a beautiful smile or enhancing biceps. Every year he looked forward to attending and being a part of the Oakland A’s Fan Fest, where he would flourish doing what he loved best drawing. Like any loyal Oakland native, the Oakland Raiders where not just a team, they represented roots, friendships and traditions. Coming together to cheer on the Raiders was a true form of brotherhood.
Ron was ever so proud of his children, and instilled unconditional love and respect into each of them. Ron will be remembered for his amazing talent, his love for family and for the happiness he brought to the many that where lucky enough to have him paint the happiest looking portrait of themselves!
P.L. Fry is Honored to serve the Strawser family. Mr. Strawser will be laid to rest with full military honors on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at noon at Golden Gate National Cemetery, 1300 Sneath Lane, San Bruno, CA 94006.
